ABOUT US

IFES (International Fellowship of Evangelical Students) is a fellowship of students, staff and supporters: a third of a million people with one goal – to bring the gospel to the student world in every nation.

IFES Eurasia unites the national movements of the CIS countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia & Ukraine. Three more countries of the Eurasian region – Tajikistan, Turkmenistan & Uzbekistan – still don’t have any kind of Christian witness among students.

We are an evangelical movement, committed to a high view of Scripture - its preaching, teaching and study. We seek to help students recognise the Lordship of Christ in every aspect of life and thought.

All IFES national movements seek to present a culturally-relevant witness to Christ, working in close partnership with the Church in their country, wherever that is possible.

National movements all share the following three major objectives:

Evangelism - proclaiming Jesus Christ as Saviour, Lord and God to students in every country in the world, and leading students to personal faith in Christ.

Formación* - promoting a life of discipleship and a growing maturity among students associated with our movements, and equipping them for a lifetime of service in the family, church and society.

World Mission - encouraging students to take the good news of Jesus Christ to every nation on earth, and become witnessing communities of salt and light in every area of society and culture.


* Formación is the Spanish word for nurture or discipleship-training.
