Dear IFES Eurasia Friends and Staff!

I am glad to greet you at our web-site again! Time is close when we meet again at our annual IFES Eurasia Institute for Staff Training and Development. Every year all members of our Eurasia team work hard updating the Institute's program, because we would like to make this time even more useful for your spiritual growth and  refreshing for your physical bodies. Dear Institute participants, we appreciate each one of you and we try to create an atmosphere where you can become closer to God and develop and grow as individuals, followers of Christ and university staff workers. And we trust God with all our hearts that He leads us in  preparing for this significant event. Please, pray for pre-Institute arrangements and prepare your hearts as well.

The Institute's aim is to develop and support Eurasia staff. But this is not all. All of us-professors, interpreters, team members, volunteers, guests and partners of the Institute-serve so that God's Word would be spread and that His Name would be glorified all around the earth. We pray that the knowledge you receive at the Institute would be helpful for your ministry and you could help those who don't know Christ yet to open their hearts to Him.
 
"I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance." (Luke15:7)

We are very grateful to God for everyone who supports the Eurasia Institute with their prayers and finances. There was a rapid growth of the inflation level in Ukraine during the past year, which caused the Institute's budget increase. But God revealed His mercy and care for us in His wonderful ways!

This year we will have an opportunity to visit "the city of a million roses" again--this is how Donetsk is called.  We thank God for the openness of Donetsk Christian University authorities who have been very kind to invite us to their premises again.   This year they open their doors for us again and are ready to serve us.

The IFES Eurasia Institute for Staff Training and Development is a community of worship and study. We want to be an instrument to help you grow in life and ministry. At the Institute we grow together in areas of spiritual development, Bible, theology, leadership and vision, practical skills for student ministry, and engagement of the culture with the Gospel. During our two-week program in June we worship, fellowship, study the Bible, meet new friends from all over Eurasia and the world, re-connect with old friends, gain new vision and inspiration, attend classes tailored to ministry needs, and have a lot of fun.
The Institute is based on the "non-formal", or "Jesus-based" model of education. Jesus trained His disciples in the context of ministry, in the context of the real problems of the world. He combined formal teaching with teaching through experiences, and encouraged growth through reflection on those experiences. The Institute's training reflects the values of this model in all parts of the program and the classes.
The Institute focuses exclusively on you, the IFES staff in Eurasia, national and international staff. Our Four Year Curriculum aims at increasing your knowledge, your vision, your spiritual depth, and your ministry skills, so you can be more fruitful.
